“Beauty and the Beast” 1991

This is a cool piece because it has the original opening lines to “I Won’t Say I’m In Love”.

I’m straying a bit from what I normally post (but staying on the subject of Lilo and Stitch), mostly because I really like this scene.

In the original version of the film, the third act chase sequence involved Stitch and company stealing a Boeing 747 to chase down Captain Gantu and rescue Lilo. However, after the events of Sept. 11th, 2001, Disney felt they needed to change the scene as it had become distasteful.

They did some retooling in time for the June 2002 release of the film. Most of the scene is intact, but with the CG model of the 747 being swapped for Jumba’s ship. The original scene had some really fun action in it though, and a couple jokes that couldn’t transfer to the new version.

I had a request for “Lilo and Stitch”. Here’s an alternate scene that never made it into the film.

(I think I like this better than what ended up in the final version)
